(More customer reviews)i always wanted to try these for myself so when i decided to upgrade my system i went for it. First of all these speakers are tough, they take everything my amp puts out. The box design is something else i'm really out of words to describe it. I got these instead of the 2ohm because of another review that said these are two 2ohm speakers wired to 4ohms, that is not true. These are two 4ohm speakers wired for a 4 or a 1 ohm load. Just keep that in mind when getting an amp for them.

The built-in compass is a plus.
The best part is that the thing mutes itself after three chirps and doesn't have an annoying voice that won't shut up or turn off like other models.

What the previous reviewer doesn't understand is that she can't always see every cop, every cop does not always have a radar gun on and pointed at you, and every radar detector gives false alarms from time to time. It's the nature of radio waves.

i.Sound Wireless FM Transmitter (White) Review

First off it is a pain in the but and goes through batteries up the wazoo.

Second off the cord that goes from the fm transmitter to the Ipod or mp3 device breaks very easily after not much use. I had to go buy a new cord at radio shack for it then come to find out it took a different jack than a reg headphone jack so I had to buy an addapter so that the cord would work.

Third and finally I bought the cord for nothing because not even a week later the part on the transmitter where you put the cord into fell into the device making it impossable to use it ever again!

Again I must say THIS IS THE CRAPPIEST PIECE OF JUNK I HAVE EVER BOUGHT.

Remanufactured Magellan RoadMate 700 20 GB Vehicle GPS Navigation System with Windshield Mount Review

The sound did not work, something that you can tell as soon as you turn it on!The plant who did the refurb would know this if they tested the unit before they put in the box.(There are built in diagnostics, you could just try those before you put it in the box and ship it as "Like New Condition")

After over 2 hours on hold, Magellan quickly confirmed that the product was indeed defective and that their remanufactured units are often shipped with operational defects. The description "remanufactured to like new condition" is not true for these units. Oddly the support tech confirmed that the over $600 price was reasonable for these remanufactured units.

Also the 90 day warranty period means that you will get only 2 tries to ship the unit back and try to get a working unit.They said that they would take 4-6 weeks for an exchange, and that it would not re-start the 90 day warranty. They offer a 1 year warranty for an additional$ 130, but the new one is only $200 more and has the latest maps and software in it, why would you buy remanufactured?

I do believe the Roadmate is a good product, but remanufactured is not OK., and their support and warranty for Remanufactured are intended to keep you from buying them.

It all seems rather unethical to me.

Equipped with 11 bands for monitoring radar and laser detection, the Cobra XRS 9400 is the ideal solution for anyone who spends much of his or her time on the highway. The device scans the X, K, and Ka Superwide radar bands--the three standard bands used by most radar guns--while also keeping an eye out for VG2 and Spectre 1 appliances, which officers use to locate drivers with radar detectors. Thanks to this latter technology, the XRS 9400 is virtually invisible on the road. The device also offers a 360-degree LaserEye function, which detects LTI 20-20, Ultra Lyte, ProLaser, and ProLaser III signals coming from any direction. And to top it off, the XRS 9400 comes with both Safety Alert, which scans for emergency vehicles and road hazards so drivers can avoid traffic snarls, and Strobe Alert, which looks for ambulances and fire trucks using traffic-light-controlling strobes. (More customer reviews)I read lots of reviews and decided to go with a refurbished Quest-I just to save a buck, also, I ride motorcycles and from what I read, this one can be easily mounted on the bike or stick into my pocket too, so I ordered it on my B-Day and very pleased with it, it always put a big smile on my face when I hear "Arriving destination on right.."

I have only had it for a little over a month now and only used it in the local state, it already saved my time/gas twice big time...I will bring it to my mini-vacation this weekend to see how it goes...

A WORD OF CAUTION - if your considering using this service, make sure the installer knows exactly what service is to be done and for how much. I received an e-mail saying the information for my car specifically had been sent to the installer - I thought, great! They're going to make sure this gets done right on my particular car! However, the installer and his co-workers confirmed more than once that they had not received anything other than a phone call from InstallCard. The installer told me more than once, almost word for word, "some lady from install called and asked if we do install card. I said, sure, we can. She said, great, we've got an amplifier to install; we'll cover $65 for the install and $25 for the amplifier kit." In other words, this place was supposed to be (according to InstallCard) the preferred installer in the area that they use the most, when in fact, it seemed neither party knew each other very well if at all. The installer was shocked at the price he was being asked to install my audio at - he said it was quite a bit lower than what they sell the kit for and a lower install fee. More evidence they aren't familiar with each other. It just wasn't a good experience. Other things happened too but this part with the communication was very frustrating and made me quiver in my boots until I got the car back and the job was done (which it was very nicely!).

With this InstallCard, a professional installer will install an aftermarket amplifier or equalizer including wiring it to an existing car stereo system. The installer will mount the unit while wiring power, ground, trigger, speakers and the input from the existing radio. An amplifier installation kit will be required and is included with this card.
