(More customer reviews)Quite Diesel Unit, smooth operation. I use this as a back up for our home when the rural power fails. Runs my 220 pump and provides lights and power for small appliances. We have an all electric home. Of course it won't handle a 20kw furnace or Central A/C, but runs a whole house fans and small fans for the wood stove. Electric start and fuel economy make this unit great for the price.

One year after owning this generator it only had 10 hours service and we needed it to keep us going after a major storm took out our power. 10 hours into service, the rocker arm bolts broke and the engine shut down. The engine is made in China and the company has been contacted many many times for repair parts. I was willing to pay for the parts but they have not provided any opportunity to get them. I have been trying for 4 months and have not been contacted to order the needed parts. The quality of workmanship is terrible! The customer service is non-existant.

I even tried to contact the engine manufacturer in China, but they have little or no presence in the US. Guess I'm just out of ruck!

If you're the dad or hubby who's always running out to the rescue, this handy piece of equipment will make your job a lot easier. And if you're the one who's found himself stranded, here's a simple, self-sufficient solution to keep it from ever happening again.

The local auto parts places often advertise similar no-name units for lower prices. They're usually bright yellow. I've owned a couple, and have had mixed results. The power switch broke on one the first time I used it, and the battery wouldn't hold a charge either. What's more frustrating than pulling out a portable jump-starter to rescue someone with a dead battery and discovering that the jump-starter also has a dead battery? The other "no-name" model I bought is still working well, but a 50% success rate isn't anything to brag about. You can look at the reviews for similar units sold here on the site and see what I mean.

I grabbed this model because Schumacher is a well-established brand much less likely to sell no-name poorly-made junk. It seems well-built, is very compact, and hasn't given me any problems yet.

I'm surprised more small businesses don't own these. If I owned a bar, restaurant, or retail store, I'd keep one of these charged and ready behind the counter -- think of the goodwill they could generate.

One disadvantage to this unit: some models include additional features like a flashlight (which makes it easier to see under the hood in the dark), an air compressor, or a cigarette lighter outlet, which lets you use the device as a portable power supply. I've even seen one model with an integrated voltage inverter, which lets you power standard 120 volt household products. However, these all add size, weight, cost, and complexity to the product. If you're looking for a compact jump-starter that does its job well, this one's a good choice.

(More customer reviews)I started with the pdx 4.100.After a week I purchased the mono version to power my subs.I would stack them but they're mounted to the backs of my rear passenger seats to conserve trunk space.Clean consistent power all the time.Made numerous changes to my system except for this amp.It's definitely a keeper.I love the small footprint and quiet operation.Just use good cables, wires, and the appropriate adapters where applicable and you'll be fine.I can't see myself using any other amp in my car.

PIAA Xtreme White Plus H7 Bulbs Review

The first thing that shocked me with these bulbs is that the price you see is a per bulb price, not for a set.So buying two bulbs means you are going to spend darn near $100.That's A LOT OF MONEY for headlight bulbs.In defense of the bulbs, I was highly dissatisfied with the performance of the stock bulbs on my VW Passat and these bulbs are brighter.How much brighter, I can't tell.I know they are still dimmer than many of the Xenon systems on more modern vehicles.All the hype about how you are going to get a Xenon quality of light is just that, hype.Xenon arc lights are a different technology and it shows.

What ruins these bulbs (assuming you can stomach the price in the first place) is how short they last.From the first set, one burned out after 4 months.I chalked that up to me maybe touching the bulb when I installed it, but I was very careful.Basically, I was giving them the benefit of doubt.I shelled out another $50 for a replacement (so my headlights would match in color and output) and then the other one burned out maybe 3 months later.

Granted that my car has permanent day-time running lights, as many cars today do, the service life on these bulbs is ridiculous.I felt so cheated that I contacted PIAA about a warranty or some sort of replacement, the OEM bulbs on my car lasted 6+ years, these replacements couldn't make it 6 months.I figured those numbers couldn't be right.No help from PIAA and absolutely no warranty.(Also, just to put things in perspective, I don't drive my car to work, so its not getting used every day, so its really not racking up the hours, so when I say these bulbs lasted months, we are talking about very very few hours in any given months that these bulbs were discharging.)

This is an overpriced product with marginally better performance than a stock bulb, in essence, its junk.

Ask yourself if you have $100+ to shell out on headlight bulbs every 6-8 months before buying these things.If I had known, I would have.What a waste.

So far my vehicle has had 'lovebugs' almost superglued to the front, tree sap type pollen which has stained the paint, wheels with brake dust etc ... very difficult to remove.My wife's car - no problems.Bugs come off quite easily, as does the brake dust etc ...
Xzilon product needs to be exposed as a complete waste.Just give your vehicle a coat of wax each year - so much better, and so much cheaper.
In a nutshell - IT DOESN'T WORK.I truly think it makes it worse.

A friend of mine bought this GPS receiver, and we set it up together. The TomTom ONE is remarkably user-friendly, extremely easy to set up, and intuitive to operate.

The screen features a nice "driving view" that was unavailable in GPS systems at the time I bought my GPS; this view is more 3D, very easy to read and quite appealing. For the price, it seems to be an incredible value.

The TomTom ONE kit comes with a USB cable that hooks up to your computer and a CD that can be used to manage it over the computer, giving greater flexibility in management. My old GPS can only be managed from the console in my car.

Seeing the capabilities of this portable GPS system, I wished I would have not had a different GPS installed in my vehicle, but instead purchased this unit. The TomTom ONE can be transported and used in rental cars on trips, or in friends' cars, and there are no worries about it being stolen, as it is small enough to stow away in your purse. Versatile, easy to use, inexpensive---what more could you want in an entry-level GPS?

(More customer reviews)Yes indeed this is a big Boy's cot.I weigh 350 lb and top off at 6'3 1/2" and was a little skeptic about a cot for me.When it arrived in a box bigger than my 10x20 tent I was less skeptical.I must admit It got one star for the first 15 minutes putting it up.It is VERRY hard to put together the last peice.This is not due to any complexities.It was due to shere manpower.And I DONT recommend there directions of using your knee to brace the cot while putting the canvus on.That caused one of there patent lock systems to bend.but...ONce together I was quite impressed (and glad I had a 10x20 tent because this boy is BIG).ONce together I gave it 3 stars because it is quite impressive and made a great drum sound my 5 and 3 year old sons loved! Directions were good. Assebly <4 minutes until the last step...which took 15 minutes, blood, sweat, bent frame and now I have to go to confession (foul mouth).
But, last night came the test.I took my oversized Coleman sleeping bag threw it on the cot in the living room and threw a queen sheet on it and layed down.Not bad at first.THen, as i layed and turned side to side I became more impressed.THis is REALLY comfortable.I slept like a log and when it was time to get up in the AM I didnt want to get out of bed...i mean the cot.This will definately accompany me on many camping trips in the future.

PROS: big, bigger, and sturdy (500+ lbs), comfortable, not too expensive, can be used for thanksgiiving table if needed

Cons: wear 2 oven mits and work out before you put it together for the first time... a bit big

Being in the aquarium maintenance business and being around salt water the construction and safety features made this one a must. It drives our service pumps in the truck nicely. If you need a 400 watt inverter GET THIS ONE. Best bang for the buck and the GFI is the fattest cherry on the cake!

(More customer reviews)We have three Alpine head units to go with this DVD player. I haven't been able to figure out if this is an issue with the player or the headsets, but unless you are seated in the center seat of the second and third rows (I drive a Pilot) you hear about 90% static. That is, children who are seated on the right or left can't hear the movie, and that's exactly where my car seats are positioned, so I always have to play the movie through my car's speakers which is a bummer if I want to hear my own music -- or nothing at all! Otherwise this works good and we're happy with it.
