(More customer reviews)I bought the C340 recently and have been very satisfied with it. However, the suction cup mount gave me trouble on my recent trip to california. I had attached the suction mount to the rental car. After two weeks of roaming in the California sun, I was stunned when I found out that the suction cup had fused to windshield. I couldnt get it off and so had to shop for a new mount. This dash mount is really good especially since it is not glued or vacuum attached to anything. The product description on amazon "the mount is hardware-free: simply attach the included adhesive disks--one for each leg--and then connect the StreetPilot to the top."gives the impression that it uses adhesive which is incorrect. I am very satisfied with this product

(More customer reviews)I was a little cautious on making this purchased based on a few reviews that I read about it, however the complaints just didn't seem too convincing.I would agree that if you know little about installing car alarms, radios, electronic devices, etc. that you will have a tough time with the installation based on the documentation, but then again why would you even attempt to install this item if you have no experience with alarms, related products, or just common sense and a little time to run a process of elimination test.If you do decide to tackle this installation the documentation gives you very clear detailed diagram of the alarm and all of its components.the only thing that it doesn't tell you is were certain wires are located on your vehicle, for example, it tells you hook this color wire to your ignition switch, but doesn't tell you were your ignition switch wire is on your vehicle, what color wire it is, etc.if you have a wiring diagram of your vehicle you are set to go!If not, don't get intimidated, run some test, like when you have to hook your parking lights up, use a light detector probe to identify the correct wire that operates your parking lights.I am very picky, especially when buying tools, equipment, electronics, etc. I just about always buy name brand stuff and pay top dollar for it.It took me a little while to hook everything up the way i wanted it, but i couldn't be happier about its performance, I was completely blown away! I planned several trips, researched numerous items as to locations for my upcoming trip. During the trip I searched for my nearest Starbucks coffee houses, rest areas and restaurants. I found this little device to be invaluable, for my Spouse also (who, not being a computer person... immediately began using it). I am addicted...I love it. Can't wait to start planning the next trip. I did have 2 instances of misdirection to areas that were not as requested...(1)a Starbucks (was not where I was directed...I accredited this one to the fact that Starbucks had closed some of its stores in recent months)(2)a restaurant was not where I was directed. I believe Streets / Lanes / Avenues and Ways played a big part in this misdirection. I love my Garmin nuvi 1490LMT 5-Inch Bluetooth Portable GPS Navigator.
One last item... my vehicle is equipped with OnStar and the first cell phone to be turned on in the vehicle is usually the first to be picked up by the OnStar Bluetooth phone system (it only handles one at a time).... The Garmin nuvi 1490LMT 5-Inch Bluetooth Portable GPS Navigator will pick up a second Bluetooth cell phone and is loud and clear. Thanks Garmin.

Cobra XRS 9970G Voice Alert 15 Band Radar and Laser Detector Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased this radar unit for my Hummer H2. I am very familiar with radar being a commercial pilot. I've owned radar detecting equipment off and on for 32 years. This is the most sophisticated highly sensitive unit I've owned and its easy to set up and operate. Its mounted on my dash since I cant reach the windshield from the drivers seat. The radar detector performs great. It has many features to reduce false alerts. I like the intellimute feature. It senses your RPMS and mutes the sound up to a preset RPM that you have entered, plus speed alerts you can preset. Mine is set at 75. It will chime and says "speed alert" if speed is exceeded, very handy and shows your speed when alerting. It has picked up state troopers in town blocks away, plenty of time to adjust your speed. The screen isvisable in bright daylight, but I use the blackout feature which it goes dark after a preset time you enter but it will light back up upon a radar/gps signal. The icons can be set to different colors (green blue red orange or multi) to match your dash light colors. You can tell if its a false hit because it will only read out KA band, but a police radar hit will show the frequency he is using. The touch screen is priceless. Just a touch of an icon will change a feature and is very easy to change settings on the go, and the red-light/speed camera/speed trap detection is indispensible. As I was driving the interstate on a camp trip the Cobra 9970G alerted (caution speed trap area). Right after it alerted I looked over at the oncoming lanes and a state trooper had someone pulled over with lights flashing. This thing really works. The AURA Database is constantly updated every 12 hours and is free with the purchase of the 9970G. You can also manually set different alert locations up to 1000 of them. I usually set it up for school zones. It will alert you well ahead of them.

(More customer reviews)I bought this after buying a similar Belkin model and wish I had just paid a few bucks more for the Belkin.While this unit works just fine, the lack of a center screw to secure it to the outlet is noticable.It's just too loose in the wall.The Belkin is a few bucks more but has the screw and all 6 outlets move independantly and not in a block of 3.I'd recommend the Belkin over this one.

Notified Amazon and they had Charger City send me a replacement, which I received very quickly(excellent customer service). However, the replacement didn't work either. The oem charger works fine in both vehicles. I am returning the charger and requesting a refund.

The Humminbird XNT 9 20 T Transom Mount Transducer is a high-speed transducer designed to mount on the transom, or back, of the boat, in contact with the surface of the water, and operate in conjunction with a compatible Humminbird sonar or fish finder system. This unit is a single and DualBeam transducer that features 20- and 60-degree cone angles operating on 200 kHz and 83 kHx frequencies respectively.
The XNT 9 20 T includes a built-in temperature sensor, a 20-foot cable, and all the necessary high-speed hardware to get up and running right away. Although this unit has the same hole pattern as some older-version transducers, it utilizes a new design that is more secure and less prone to kick up at the high force of waves, as well as having an improved running angle, and an optional lock-down screw to override the kick up. (More customer reviews)This product works great, I have a microwave, flatscreen tv, and a toaster i hook up to it and there is no problems.One thing I wish would have been mentioned somewhere is that you need to purchase a 150 amp inline fuse to put in the power wire from the battery to the inverter.So plan on getting one of those and have it ready so you can install it.I didnt know about it and spent some time in North Dakota trying to find one.Enjoy.

How The Cobra Power Inverter Works
The Cobra power inverter is an electronic product that has been designed and built to take low-voltage DC (Direct Current) power from your automobile or other low-voltage power supplies and convert it to standard 115 volt AC (Alternating Current) power like the current you have in your home. This conversion process thereby allows you to use many of your household appliances and electronic products in automobiles, RVs, boats, tractors, trucks, and virtually anywhere else.
Cobra 1500 Watt Output Waveform
Some very sensitive electronic equipment might not operate satisfactorily on "square wave" or "modified sine wave" power. The output waveform of the Cobra Inverter is a "square wave" or "modified sine wave." It is a stepped waveform designed to have characteristics similar to the sine wave shape of utility power. A waveform of this nature is suitable for most AC loads, including linear and switching power suppliers used in electronic equipment, transformers, and motors.
AC receptacles
With three ground AC receptacles, you can connect and power multiple devices at once.
USB Output
The 5-Volt USB output allows charging and operation of modern portable devices, such as iPods, BlackBerrys, and cell phones.
Remote On/Off Switch Capable
An optional Remote On/Off Switch can be connected to the Remote Jack, allowing you to turn the Cobra power inverter on or off from a convenient location when the inverter is installed out of reach.
Safety Features
The CPI 1575 will notify you with a flashing meter and alarm sound when there is a power problem, and will shut down for protection in the following situations:

Current Overload Protection--If the inverter is overloaded, it will shut down to protect itself.
Short Circuit Protection--If the AC output of the inverter is short-circuited for one second or more, it will shut down to protect itself.
Low Voltage Protection--If the input voltage drops to 10.0V or less, the inverter will shut down to protect itself.
High Voltage Protection--If the DC input voltage rises above 15.0V, the inverter will shut down to protect itself.
Over Temperature Protection--If the internal temperature rises to 40 degrees C (104 degrees F), the inverter will shut down to protect itself.

I found it very difficult to get it to seal on the tire valve stem, but with the o-ring it works perfectly. (Why they don't manufacture it that way I don't know). But by getting an inexpensive o-ring from Ace Hardware you have a product that is outstanding. Another reviewer said the size o-ring he bought was 1/4 x 1/8 x 1/16. However I found this size was too small and didn't fit. I had to get 5/16 x 3/16 x 1/16, and it's a perfect fit. And with tax it cost me a mere .18 cents. An easy modification well worth it.

After receiving the XMp3i for my birthday, I ordered the car kit so I could enjoy satellite radio in my vehicle (2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer).The cable for the antenna is nice and long, so you can run it from your dash, all the way to the top/rear of the car, with a little leftover.All of the cables plug into the dock, so you can remove your XMp3i and hide it or take it with you without any hassle.It comes with a remote control, which I thought was silly at first, but after using it, I realized that it's much easier to use the remote when driving, than to use the buttons on the player.As long as you position the antenna like the instructions describe, the reception is just as good as a factory installed XM radio (I've had both).

It comes with two mounting methods (dashboard mount or clips for your air conditioning vent).If you use the adhesive dashboard mount, make sure you know exactly where you want it, since it only comes supplied with a single adhesive strip.Otherwise, you'll have to go buy some of those super-adhesive foam strips made by 3M.Certainly not a deal-killer, but a little annoying.

Overall, the car kit from XM was easy to install.Now I can listen to satellite radio on those long road trips!Hooray!
