(More customer reviews)I recently purchased an install card to have an equalizer installed into my car. A WORD OF CAUTION - if your considering using this service, make sure the installer knows exactly what service is to be done and for how much. I received an e-mail saying the information for my car specifically had been sent to the installer - I thought, great! They're going to make sure this gets done right on my particular car! However, the installer and his co-workers confirmed more than once that they had not received anything other than a phone call from InstallCard. The installer told me more than once, almost word for word, "some lady from install called and asked if we do install card. I said, sure, we can. She said, great, we've got an amplifier to install; we'll cover $65 for the install and $25 for the amplifier kit." In other words, this place was supposed to be (according to InstallCard) the preferred installer in the area that they use the most, when in fact, it seemed neither party knew each other very well if at all. The installer was shocked at the price he was being asked to install my audio at - he said it was quite a bit lower than what they sell the kit for and a lower install fee. More evidence they aren't familiar with each other. It just wasn't a good experience. Other things happened too but this part with the communication was very frustrating and made me quiver in my boots until I got the car back and the job was done (which it was very nicely!).

What's Included with This Installation Package?

With this InstallCard, a professional installer will install an aftermarket amplifier or equalizer including wiring it to an existing car stereo system. The installer will mount the unit while wiring power, ground, trigger, speakers and the input from the existing radio. An amplifier installation kit will be required and is included with this card.

Some factory radios do not have the low-level output signals needed to plug into an amplifier, and a Hi-Low adapter maybe required.
